Marco Polo - Ventimiglia (IM)

The Marco Polo restaurant, run for three generations by the Pani family, is located in a beautiful seafront position on the Ventimiglia promenade. The place is unmistakable: a building entirely made of wood, like a chalet, which stands out among the other signs of the beach establishments. The interiors are also completely made of wood: the overall atmosphere, warm and welcoming, may initially amaze with its originality in the context. The entrance precedes the two dining rooms. The main one has a rectangular plan, well-spaced tables and overlooks the private beach through large windows and a French door. In the kitchen there is Diego Pani, a young and concrete chef. La Filiale - Erbusco (BS)

La Filiale is the branch in Franciacorta of the gourmet Pizzeria of the master pizza maker Franco Pepe, owner of the "Pepe in Grani" pizzeria in Caiazzo in the Caserta area.
It is located in the park of L'Albereta, a fairy-tale Relais & Châteaux with a double gourmet and well-being soul, of which lemilleUnanotte publishes a rich Reportage.

The appearance of La Filiale is that of a luxury kiosk, with glass walls in iron and a pleasant industrial design.
The lighting with suspended lamps is integrated with LED table lights.

"A pasta disc tells the flavors of a territory and the passion of a modern craftsman".
In our pizza tasting at La Filiale we encountered excellent ingredients worked with a craftsmanship to applause: the cooking is perfect, the doughs delicious thanks to a state of the art hydration, the very high digestibility a precious bonus of which you you will notice in the rest of the evening.
Every single pizza is a small masterpiece, for its soft and appetizing edge, for the very well matched and balanced toppings, for the amazing honeycomb of the dough ...
The brigade of pizza makers is close-knit and well-run and the room moves with ease even during maximum crowding, which is the rule here.
What to say? Once you have tasted a gourmet pizza of this caliber it will be impossible for you to settle for a simple pizza.
You drink very well: obviously there are beers, with many artisanal labels, but we recommend "dine with bubbles", which literally go together with pizza: between Franciacorta and Champagne you will be spoiled for choice!
