El Argentino - Montaldo Scarampi (AT)

El Argentino is the restaurant of the Mazzeo family, who were already involved in gastronomy in Argentina, forced to move to Italy in 2002 to escape the then terrible living conditions in their country of origin. After an initial period of settling in in Piedmont, the business took off with this beautiful venue overlooking the hills of Asti, opened in 2008. The dining room is preceded by a small entrance with a glass door on which the sign is silk-screened. The interiors of the restaurant are well-kept and pleasant, with pastel-coloured walls, solid wood tables, some furnishings with an ethnic flavor and the colorful paintings by father Jorge Daniel, who takes care of the grill with his son Esteban. The kitchen is visible through a glass niche. With this new visit, El Argentino fully enters among the Locals of the Heart of Convivium.
