Maison Capriccioli - Torino

Image
Maison Capriccioli is the new fine dining seafood concept conceived by star chef Christian Mandura, with emerging virtuoso Andrea Turchi at the helm of the kitchen. Born from the ashes of a pre-existing seafood restaurant, it represents the address of the moment in the Savoy capital. The goal is to offer Turin a great seafood restaurant with contemporary connotations, one that makes one perceive elegance and opulence right from the mise en place. The décor is classic and tasteful, with large, well-spaced tables and rich table linens that go all the way down to the floor. At Maison Capriccioli, we experienced a gastronomic journey of extreme elegance and refinement, designed specifically to gratify the guest without forcing him or her to sit at the table with excessively long paths. A philosophy that represents a new frontier, one that can be widely shared. The menu proposal is expressed in a few dishes of memorable execution. Andrea Turchi's hand impresses with the ...

Raiz - Nizza Monferrato (AT)

Image
Raiz, which means Root, is a small quality Churrascaria recently moved to Nizza Monferrato from its previous location in Canelli. It is run by an enterprising and motivated couple - he from Brazil, she from Piedmont - enthusiastic about their bet, which we think is a winner, in the provincial town that is the capital of Barbera d'Asti. The venue is small and neat, furnished with taste and personality. At Raiz there is an authentic ethnic cuisine experience. The meats selected are of the highest quality, the preparations and cooking well executed, the Cantina focused on real treats. Do you want to post your comment? Make yourself the Critic on the Blog! Radix Cucina Contemporanea - Giaveno (TO)

Image
Radix Cucina Contemporanea is the new eatery opened by Chef Riccardo Portesi in Giaveno, a town in the Turin area not far from the Avigliana Lakes. From the entrance with counter, the rooms develop perimeterwise around the kitchen. The rooms are warm and well-kept, with some original details, such as the chandeliers. Riccardo Portesi's cuisine literally thrilled us. Having already known the chef in his previous experiences, we approached this new adventure of his with considerable expectations, all of which were abundantly exceeded. The imagination of the preparations, which is already expressed in the names (which intrigue and often make us smile), is combined with an uncommon technique, with a sense of measure and an attention to detail to be applauded. Nothing is left to chance, not even in the dining room, where Andrea Mauro proposes an original and well-thought-out food-wine pairing. Do you want to post your comment? Il Faggio Restaurant is located in Pollone, just a few minutes' drive from downtown Biella, next to the beautiful Burcina Park. The restaurant's two adjoining rooms are spacious and elegant, with wooden floors and well-spaced tables. Service in the dining room, precise and impeccable, extremely attentive, is directed by the owner, Maître and Sommelier Gigi Zanone. Stephane, commis de salon, took turns serving. The large round tables are set with elegant Gamba tablecloths, silver Broggi cutlery, Villeroi & Boch plates and Riedel stemware. A Broggi led lamp at each table completes the mise en place. Il Faggio is a classic and elegant restaurant, run with passion by a patron who is a great connoisseur of food and wine. Lostu - Monforte d'Alba (CN)

Image
Lostu, a modern osteria opened by Chef Pasquale Laera, is based in a magnificent panoramic location among the hills of Monforte d'Alba, in Frazione Sant'Anna. The only rectangular room is characterized by huge windows open to the Langhe landscape and rustic furnishings with some very original details, such as chandeliers made from baskets and baskets. At Lostu you will rediscover the authentic flavors of peasant cuisine in a modern Trattoria with a splendid view of the Langa hills. The restaurant, opened by Chef Pasquale Laera in collaboration with his friend sous-chef George Uta a few steps from Borgo Sant'Anna, is dedicated to conviviality and festive moments in a relaxed and jovial atmosphere, with the spirit of the inns of the past. It is not and does not want to be the Bistrot of the starred Restaurant, but an independent Osteria. Its symbol is the hen, the animal that populated the chicken coops of every farmhouse, which best embodies its philosophy, ...

Casa Crippa, Enoteca di Canelli - Canelli (AT)

Image
Casa Crippa Restaurant is housed in a historic winery in Canelli, a city with a vocation for Moscato and a UNESCO World Heritage area. To reach the dining room, you will descend a staircase that will lead you to a veritable underground cathedral, which is of great scenic impact. The vast dining room features cement and terracotta floors, exposed stone walls, and vaulted ceilings. Along the walls run shelves with all the bottles on view, so that the wine can be chosen directly and not just from the card. The particularly successful lighting enhances the rooms to the fullest, which are characterised by spaces embellished with rotating art exhibitions. Casa Crippa is a restaurant characterized by a successful combination of informality and charm, magnificently set, like an underground cathedral, in the history-rich cellars of a nineteenth-century building, which boasts a refined Piedmontese cuisine reinterpreted according to current tastes without distortions and with th...
