Ristorante Trippini - Civitella del Lago - Baschi (TR)

Image
Trippini Restaurant, a JRE member, is based in Umbria's Civitella del Lago, in a spectacular panoramic location on Lake Corbara, a location that makes the tasting experience even more unique. Trippini has been a family restaurant for three generations. Crossing the threshold of the entrance, you will find yourself in an elegant and refined room, with an entire wall of windows to enjoy the magnificent view. On one wall, framed photographs of some highlights of the Trippini Family history, with a place of honor for Dad. Ristorante Trippini represents one of the most authentic expressions of Umbrian cuisine, with a perfect balance between contemporary interpretations and respect for tradition. It is a real pleasure to be able to taste dishes that have been handed down from generation to generation, masterfully prepared so that even today's more "spoiled" palates can enjoy them to the full. In this sense, Paolo Trippini's cuisine is a true hymn to the great trad...

Officina dei Sapori - Gubbio (PG)

Image
Officina dei Sapori Restaurant is centrally located in Gubbio, with convenient parking options just outside the walls. Crossing the entrance threshold, you will find yourself in a tastefully renovated, bright and well-appointed environment. Of the two dining rooms, the one with the open kitchen is the most impactful. The Officina dei Sapori impressed us with its contemporary cuisine of great personality and suggestion. The brigade, one of the youngest in the area, entertains and entertains with modern dishes with clean, precise and well-defined flavors, which, where necessary, know how to keep the right hooks with classic and traditional recipes, surprising with taste and lightness. That of the Officina dei Sapori is a story of cuisine and family that draws its roots from the previous generation, preserving and developing them, with Giacomo and Veronica, he chef, she sommelier, tell a new story of good food and good drink in a modern key. Aldivino Ristorante - Corciano (PG)

Image
Aldivino Ristorante, "the scent of contemporary cuisine," is a small gem set in the large complex of Al Battibecco, a short distance from Perugia. The place immediately has a strong personality: the eccentric interior, which unfolds in a long theory of rooms and lounges, proves warm and pleasant. Next to the entrance is a small lounge. All dining rooms house collections of bottles in tall racks up to the ceilings. The Ristorante Aldivino is a great place to taste and drink, thanks to the young, technical and strong personality of the chef, Enrico Pistoletti, and to the sommelier, Emanuele Rugini, who loves his job and knows how to "tell" as well as to advise. If eating out means looking for excitement, this is the place to be, where even the service, carried out with grace, departs from the banal routine to which we are (unfortunately) accustomed: here the serving trays enter the room with arms held high above the head. Enrico Pistoletti is the author of a con...

Amerigo dal 1934 - Savigno (BO)

Image
Amerigo since 1934, a trattoria, pantry and design inn: a concise definition that brings together a microcosm in constant turmoil, one that has strongly characterized these quiet, somewhat secluded places nestled among the Bolognese hills. The restaurant -which owes its name to the founding grandfather- still retains the original appearance with which it has welcomed generations of patrons with a simple cuisine made from raw materials that came from the courtyard, chicken coop, vegetable garden and nearby fields. Entrance is either from the Bottega overflowing with its own produce, with so many tasty things that it is impossible not to be tempted by, or from the small door on the little alley to the side. Amerigo is one of the food, wine and hospitality realities that fascinates us the most, a model of intelligent promotion of territory and tradition. Behind the results we have shown you are hard work, clear ideas and a lot of passion. Amerigo's cuisine is an experience that ...

Orto by Jorg Giubbani - Moneglia (GE)

Image
Ristorante Orto by Jorg Giubbani is based in Moneglia inside the Hotel Villa Edera and La Torretta. Entrusted to the hands of the talented young chef from whom it borrows its name, it represents the hotel's flagship gastronomic offering. At guests' disposal are two gathered rooms with large windows. At the Orto by Jorg Giubbani restaurant, we had a rich, cultured and stimulating gastronomic experience in an environment tailored to accommodate a sensory journey of the highest order. Jorg Giubbani's is a talent with many facets and qualities: punctiliousness, technique, precision, stubbornness, personality, taste and curiosity, imagination and a lot of love for his land and for Orto. Here you will taste a cuisine that is full appreciation of Liguria and its most authentic products, modern but respectful, rich in cues and quotations but always well dosed: in a nutshell, a cuisine that will thrill you. La Credenza - San Maurizio Canavese (TO)

Image
La Credenza, a Michelin-starred restaurant in San Maurizio Canavese, presents itself on the outside with the simple elegance of its beautiful solid wood front door with glass-fusion sculpture by Elio Garis, a contemporary artist from Vigone, surmounted by the hand-painted sign and decorated with two potted plants. Amusing and original is the pan hanging to the side, in which the bell has been inserted in the center. The interiors are strikingly scenic in their choice of materials and combinations, such as the iron floors of the first dining room, introduced by a wooden wave sculpture that serves as a room divider. In more than 30 years of business, Giovanni Grasso and Igor Macchia have led La Credenza Restaurant to the top echelons of haute cuisine. Today, Credenza Group is a brand of excellence and a driving force, present at the ATP Finals in Turin, under whose aegis such prestigious complementary realities as Casa Format, SP 143 and Fiorfood were born. The gastronomic proposal...

Il Falconiere - Cortona (AR)

Image
Il Falconiere is the gourmet restaurant of the magnificent Relais & Châteaux of the same name in the province of Arezzo, located in a hilly area just minutes from picturesque Cortona. For outside guests who have walked up the driveway from the parking lot, there is a convenient entrance on the same floor as the hall. Hotel guests can access it by descending a staircase from the old glass and wrought iron lemon house. The interiors possess an atmosphere of great character, thanks to warm colors and materials and elements typical of local architecture such as stone, brick, terracotta, arches and vaults. Oriental rugs, drop chandeliers, wall sconces, rich draperies, tapestries and wall frescoes complete the furnishings. Surrounded by an ambience of refined elegance, exclusive and relaxed, Silvia Baracchi's sunny cuisine represents a great Italian gastronomic stop in which to find a magnificent interpretation of the territory: dishes that originate from simple (but exceptiona...

Locanda del Molino - Cortona (AR)

Image
In a quiet, secluded location in the Cortona countryside, Locanda del Molino is a charming stop-over, with a restaurant serving typical Tuscan cuisine and a hotel with a few rooms, owned by the Baracchi family, which owns the prestigious Relais Il Falconiere and the Baracchi Winery. From the very entrance, the atmospheres are rustic and well-kept, with great character. The restaurant consists of two airy rooms with terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and a typical décor; the second houses the wood-fired oven, in which they bake very slow-rising gourmet pizzas, prepared with superior ingredients. Locanda del Molino is a charming destination in which to savor the most authentic Tuscany, both in eating and staying. There you can taste the traditional culinary dishes of Cortona, superbly cooked by a housewife cook who resembles a mother, and find the now-forgotten menu of the day. Through the Locanda's rustic atmosphere shines a refined elegance that cannot be invented but is intr...

Palazzo Tiglio - Bucine (AR)

Image
Palazzo Tiglio is a Period Residence with Gourmet Restaurant based in Valdambra, in the heart of Tuscany, in the tiny scenic village of San Pancrazio. Owner John Werich, a Swede now adopted Italian, has overseen its meticulous and refined restoration, making it a must-see destination for those who love unostentatious luxury. In a tiny dreamy Tuscan village you will have a fine dining experience of refined elegance, thanks to modern cuisine intelligently hooked on local tradition. Chef Mattia Parlanti has created a menu made up of important dishes, thick, but also light, pleasant and harmonious. The Patron of Palazzo Tiglio, Swedish John Werich now a naturalized Italian, has clear ideas on how to offer classy but casual hospitality, never affected. We drank very well, with a thick food-wine pairing, with excellent labels from Small Producers. Do you want to post your comment? Make yourself the Critic on the Blog! Post your comment:

Officine del Cibo - Sarzana (SP)

Image
Officine del Cibo, a contemporary pizza gastronomic project by Chef Giacomo Devoto of Locanda de' Banchieri, is based in Sarzana, in the middle of Lunigiana. The venue, which has ample parking facilities, is a modern building that is easy to reach coming from the highway exit. The interior is airy and comfortable, with the rooms located just beyond the bar and bakery counters. The furnishings play on colorful and witty details. An award-winning gourmet pizzeria, Officine del Cibo is a must-visit stop for sampling contemporary pizza of absolute quality. Here you'll find the flavors of Ligurian tradition paired with true Neapolitan pizza, offered both in its most classic liveries and with modern, ever-evolving doughs and baking cuts, including gluten-free. A winning formula that is the fruit of the encounter between the passion and technique of Gianmarco Ferrandi and the food culture of Giacomo Devoto. There is good drinking, with the possibility of both beer and wine pairi...
