I Tre Poggi - Canelli (AT)

Image
I Tre Poggi is the restaurant inside the Relais of the same name, a 17th century farmhouse with breathtaking views of the Canelli hills. You will find an extensive reportage about the hotel, which is located on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards, in lemilleUnanotte by Convivium. From the entrance you will walk along a short corridor passing next to the scenic cellar. The internal dining room, with a rectangular layout, enjoys a pleasant rustic-elegant setting. The very large windows overlook the courtyard of the Relais, which hosts outdoor tables in summer. I Tre Poggi restaurant is an excellent address for traditional Piedmontese cuisine, prepared with love and a smile by the cook Daniela Irina Dumitra. Here we aim for uncompromising quality and true zero kilometres, with clear and precise flavors resulting from impeccable processing techniques. In season you will find a menu entirely dedicated to the Alba White Truffle. The cellar boasts a nice choice of lab...

Osteria del Borgo - Carrù (CN)

Image
The Osteria del Borgo, overlooking the central Via Garibaldi in Carrù, is a family-run restaurant with a very pleasant setting in which everything is taken care of with love and attention. The entrance, equipped with a compass, gives access to a first room equipped with a bar counter. The setting is warm and atmospheric, thanks to the color combination between the wooden floors and the light walls, decorated with paintings, trompe l'oeil and many shelves and niches with bottles in plain sight. The rooms - always crowded - are well equipped for a significant amount of seats: nevertheless, even with the full house which is the rule here, it seems like being in a small wedding favor, thanks to a perfect organization and a skilful division of the internal spaces, as well as an exquisite sense of hospitality. For years, Osteria del Borgo has thrilled us with the freshness and care of all the preparations, with the polite and courteous service, with the truly pleasant...

Camp Ripan - Kiruna (Sweden)

Image
Camp Ripan is located in Kiruna, in the heart of the Swedish Lapland. The resort is incredibly atmospheric - a glowing oasis of light nestled within the arctic chill of the surrounding wilderness. The interiors, with their Nordic vibe, are both modern and cozy. Leaving the spacious lobby behind and passing through the bar and the indoor greenhouse area, you'll find two adjoining square dining rooms—the first of which features an open kitchen. Both dining rooms feature large floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the snow-covered landscape. Camp Ripan, one of the most charming accommodations in Lapland, stands out for its modern and intriguing 'Arctic' cuisine. Italian Chef Luca Dell'Agnola, who also gained experience in Iceland, is distinguished by his rigorous philosophy centered on sustainability and zero waste, skillfully navigating the Swedish, Sami, and Finnish cultures. His cooking prioritizes organic, farm-to-table products, premium norther...

Celestino - Piobesi Torinese (TO)

Image
The Celestino restaurant and hotel is housed in a prestigious 15th-century house, one of the few preserved in the historic center of Piobesi Torinese, a town half an hour's drive from the Savoy capital. The restaurant has been run since 1904 by the Leggero family, which over the years has handed down the memory of typical Piedmontese cuisine and hospitality. This year it celebrates an impressive 120 years in business! The large main room has been completely renovated with a modern taste but the original barrel vaults dating back to 1458 are still present, plastered. The light colors are interrupted by the dove-gray central partition, the stone back wall and some very colorful paintings and posters. Great raw materials, a perfect mastery of cooking and beautiful plating for a traditional cuisine presented in a modern guise (with several gluten-free preparations), this is the summary of what we experienced at Celestino. A place run by the family for generations (we a...

OrtOsteria René - Bastia (SV)

Image
Located in Bastia, not far from Albenga, OrtOsteria René is the new "jewel" of BioVio, a modern osteria created with the intention of continuing the family tradition of hospitality and sharing the table, passing on the most authentic peasant recipes by improving the products of the Albenga hinterland. The name is a tribute to grandfather René, who in the 90's created Il Torchietto, a very successful pizzeria-restaurant. The cozy and atmospheric interiors show great taste in the combination of materials (stone, wood and brick) and in the choice of furnishings and lighting. The main dining room continues at the back with a small room with a "table d'hôte" overlooking the glassed-in kitchen. A floor-to-ceiling glass panel reveals the splendid small wine cellar, accessed by a ladder with a wrought-iron gate. At OrtOsteria René we had a rich taste experience in a delightful country chic setting. The cuisine is strictly traditional, with the ...

Ristorante Trippini - Civitella del Lago - Baschi (TR)

Image
Trippini Restaurant, a JRE member, is based in Umbria's Civitella del Lago, in a spectacular panoramic location on Lake Corbara, a location that makes the tasting experience even more unique. Trippini has been a family restaurant for three generations. Crossing the threshold of the entrance, you will find yourself in an elegant and refined room, with an entire wall of windows to enjoy the magnificent view. On one wall, framed photographs of some highlights of the Trippini Family history, with a place of honor for Dad. Ristorante Trippini represents one of the most authentic expressions of Umbrian cuisine, with a perfect balance between contemporary interpretations and respect for tradition. It is a real pleasure to be able to taste dishes that have been handed down from generation to generation, masterfully prepared so that even today's more "spoiled" palates can enjoy them to the full. In this sense, Paolo Trippini's cuisine is a true hymn to the great trad...
