Malaspina Bistrot - Volpedo (AL)

Image
Malaspina Bistrot is located in Volpedo, land of production of Peaches and Strawberries, included in the circuit of the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy. The interior of the two-story venue is bright and modern. As Volpedo is the birthplace of the famous painter Giuseppe Pellizza, the caricature of his painting "Il Quarto Stato" (The Fourth Estate) made with Playmobil by the French artist Pierre-Adrien Sollier stands out on the wall. We have been following for a long time this small reality of excellence, Bistrot and Prosciutteria with a very careful express cuisine, and we are proud to bring it to the forefront in Convivium: here you will taste food, wine and local materials at km0, in a very pleasant, simple and informal context. Chef Claudia Colla prepares with taste and technique dishes that are appreciated for their combinations and for the absolute quality of raw materials. The wine cellar prepared by Efrem Saggia is a real hymn to Colli Tortonesi, with producers ...

Rebel - Torino

Image
Rebel restaurant represents the return to Turin of Chef Nicola di Tarsia, four years after the closure of his unforgettable Berbel. The restaurant is located in the elegant Crocetta area of Piedmont's capital city. The restaurant unravels with an L-shaped trend in three linear environments characterized by original and tasteful seating and aesthetic solutions. As soon as you enter, there is an equipped counter that is the continuation of the open kitchen. The interior stands out for its light stone floors and aquamarine walls, complemented by the lively touch of interspersed majolica tiles in different sizes and colors. Rebel in this case is the name that fits perfectly to a great chef who is fed up with clichés and criticism without constructive, a chef who has decided to disregard the conventions and to propose on the menu thirteen-thirteen dishes that everyone can take out to compose their own ad hoc menu, without preconceived schemes and without a real compulsory sequence...

The restaurant's detail-laden interior creates a warm, personal atmosphere. In the kitchen, Chef Simone Zanon. Originally from Rovigo, class of '86, he trained at Lake Garda, Abano Terme and Venice, and then worked at the Expo in Milan. His subsequent experiences are at Darmas in Monza, Osteria del Ponte in Trezzano sul Naviglio and finally at Ronchettino. The decision to focus on a traditional Milanese cuisine may not be as "commercial" and "trendy" as others in the city, but in this specific case it pays off, considering the turnout and customer satisfaction. In the kitchen you can notice the research of the small producer and of the niche excellence, which is added to the sure hand of Chef Simone Zanon, very careful in interpreting with care the great dishes of Milanese tradition. The cellar includ...
