Mariangela Susigan's Gardenia Restaurant is based in a 19th-century house surrounded by vegetable gardens, like a true "Relais de Campagne," in the town of Caluso, a Canavese village where the native Erbaluce wine is born. The romantic rectangular room on the ground floor, decorated in pastel green and salmon tones and lit by antique hanging lamps, has terracotta floors and well-spaced, finely set tables. The decor is complemented by a dark wood sideboard at the entrance and an antique mirror on the back wall. The outdoor pergola is an oasis of coolness on hot summer evenings.
