Mariangela Susigan's Gardenia Restaurant is based in a 19th-century house surrounded by vegetable gardens, like a true "Relais de Campagne," in the town of Caluso, a Canavese village where the native Erbaluce wine is born. The romantic rectangular room on the ground floor, decorated in pastel green and salmon tones and lit by antique hanging lamps, has terracotta floors and well-spaced, finely set tables. The decor is complemented by a dark wood sideboard at the entrance and an antique mirror on the back wall. The outdoor pergola is an oasis of coolness on hot summer evenings. Mariangela Susigan's cuisine delights in the perfect balance between territory and creativity, with dishes of great impact, both for the colors and scents, for the quality of the ingredients used, and for the taste and wisdom of the combinations and cooking.
