Lokanda Devetak 1870 - San Michele del Carso (GO)

Image
Lokanda Devetak 1870, located a very short distance from the Slovenian border, has belonged to the Devetak family since its founding back in 1870, gradually becoming over the decades a true local gastronomic institution. With Avguštin running it, along with his wife Gabriella and daughters, we are now in our sixth generation. The entrance to the Lokanda, surrounded by green woodland and equipped with private parking, is heralded by an archway. As soon as you cross the threshold, you are greeted by a typical, warm and comfortable environment furnished with lots of wood. The interiors are structured in three rooms rich in history and atmosphere: a simple décor, played on the contrast between terracotta floors and light-colored walls, with exposed wooden beams punctuating the ceilings and poor art furniture. At Devetak's you can enjoy an authentic gastronomic experience in a true "institution" of the Region: an experience that no gourmet should miss. Deveta...

Antica Trattoria da Miculan - Tricesimo (UD)

Image
Trattoria Da Miculan, a treasured address for excellent regional cuisine, is located in Tricesimo, a few kilometers from Udine. Crossing the entrance threshold, you will find the bar area and a small gathering room for local patrons. Next, the rectangular-plan restaurant room. The defining element is the large traditional fogolar, right in the center of the room. The stone back wall stands out well with the lighting of spotlights recessed into the floor. The Antica Trattoria da Miculan is a true Osteria of traditional cuisine where you can taste Friulian specialties cooked to perfection. Juri Riccato and his wife Michela will make you feel at home, tasting traditional Friulian recipes alternating with some seafood delicacies in a well-kept environment. There is very good drinking, thanks to a well-assorted Cantina, full of many regional labels. Do you want to post your comment? Make yourself the Critic on the Blog! Post your comment:

Casa Crippa, Enoteca di Canelli - Canelli (AT)

Image
Casa Crippa Restaurant is housed in a historic winery in Canelli, a city with a vocation for Moscato and a UNESCO World Heritage area. To reach the dining room, you will descend a staircase that will lead you to a veritable underground cathedral, which is of great scenic impact. The vast dining room features cement and terracotta floors, exposed stone walls, and vaulted ceilings. Along the walls run shelves with all the bottles on view, so that the wine can be chosen directly and not just from the card. The particularly successful lighting enhances the rooms to the fullest, which are characterised by spaces embellished with rotating art exhibitions. Casa Crippa is a restaurant characterized by a successful combination of informality and charm, magnificently set, like an underground cathedral, in the history-rich cellars of a nineteenth-century building, which boasts a refined Piedmontese cuisine reinterpreted according to current tastes without distortions and with th...

Locanda dell'Olmo - Bosco Marengo (AL)

Image
Locanda dell'Olmo is located in the small village of Bosco Marengo, in the central square, adorned by a fountain. Crossing the threshold, you enter a first room with a bar. Just beyond is the main dining room. The ambiance is rustic, neat, and pleasant, with terracotta tile floors, a few well-spaced tables, and traditional wooden chairs with upholstered seats. The lighting is provided by chandeliers and wall sconces; in a corner at the back of the room, an arte povera sideboard stands out. A trattoria of substance, the Locanda dell'Olmo offers a simple and genuine cuisine, firmly rooted in tradition. Some dishes are prepared with products from the nearby Liguria, especially in summer. In addition to the cuisine, we liked the informal atmosphere and the warm welcome, which make customers feel at home. As the Bondi's are also producers of quality wines, it is definitely worth tasting some labels from the family vineyards. Do you want to pos...
