Celestino - Piobesi Torinese (TO)

The Celestino restaurant and hotel is housed in a prestigious 15th-century house, one of the few preserved in the historic center of Piobesi Torinese, a town half an hour's drive from the Savoy capital. The restaurant has been run since 1904 by the Leggero family, which over the years has handed down the memory of typical Piedmontese cuisine and hospitality. This year it celebrates an impressive 120 years in business! The large main room has been completely renovated with a modern taste but the original barrel vaults dating back to 1458 are still present, plastered. The light colors are interrupted by the dove-gray central partition, the stone back wall and some very colorful paintings and posters. Great raw materials, a perfect mastery of cooking and beautiful plating for a traditional cuisine presented in a modern guise (with several gluten-free preparations), this is the summary of what we experienced at Celestino.
