Ristorante Ca' Vittoria - Tigliole d'Asti (AT)

Image
You can read about Ca' Vittoria and its refined hospitality in our extensive report in lemilleUnanotte; here we will deal only with the restaurant. The large solid-wood portal facing the main street is framed by exposed brickwork. Already upon entering you will be struck by the elegant and atmospheric interior, with polished grit floors and vaulted brick ceilings. The first room, soon to be transformed into a cozy living room, serves as an antechamber from which to watch the kitchen at work. At the back stands a magnificent Austrian imperial sideboard from the late 1700s. The new dining room is a vast, bright veranda played on the contrast between light tones and the wooden coffered ceiling. Niches with natural lichens stand out there. When we talk about Ca' Vittoria, one cannot help but recall a past of three generations united by the same passion and the sole desire to approach perfection. It was a traditional and curated cuisine that could also boast as a feather in it...

Poggio Rosso - Castelnuovo Berardenga (SI)

Image
Poggio Rosso is the gourmet restaurant of Borgo San Felice, a luxurious resort created from the conservative renovation of an ancient rural hamlet in the Chianti region of Siena, about which you will find a rich report in lemilleUnanotte. The entrance is right in front of the main body of the Borgo, passing from one building to another through a covered canopy. You will be greeted by a large room furnished with a central table, grand piano, and stained glass windows from the Cantina rooms that run along an entire perimeter wall. The adjacent dining room is also characterized by beautiful wooden ceilings and exposed brick walls. At the Poggio Rosso restaurant you will enjoy experiencing a truly unprecedented "Latin American" Tuscany! The ambiance of refined elegance and attentive, caring service will be the perfect corollary to a stimulating journey for taste, smell and sight: Juan Camilo Quintero's cuisine is based on personal dishes, with clear and precise flavors,...

Gardenia - Caluso (TO)

Image
Mariangela Susigan's Gardenia Restaurant is based in a 19th-century house surrounded by vegetable gardens, like a true "Relais de Campagne," in the town of Caluso, a Canavese village where the native Erbaluce wine is born. The romantic rectangular room on the ground floor, decorated in pastel green and salmon tones and lit by antique hanging lamps, has terracotta floors and well-spaced, finely set tables. The decor is complemented by a dark wood sideboard at the entrance and an antique mirror on the back wall. The outdoor pergola is an oasis of coolness on hot summer evenings. Mariangela Susigan's cuisine delights in the perfect balance between territory and creativity, with dishes of great impact, both for the colors and scents, for the quality of the ingredients used, and for the taste and wisdom of the combinations and cooking. A cuisine that is not only art and technique, but also and above all culture, rooted in the wisdom of the past. Do you want to pos...

La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini - Castiglione della Pescaia (GR)

Image
La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini is an integral part of the magnificent L'Andana Resort complex in the Tuscan Maremma, just a few minutes' drive from Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala. You will reach it by driving along a long "picture postcard" avenue with cypresses and maritime pines nestled among vineyards. There are two elegant rooms inside, tastefully decorated with a few rustic touches. The restaurant represents an essential gastronomic stop for every gourmet, thanks to its cultured and refined cuisine, but also in a certain sense familiar and free-range, in a setting of refined elegance, like an aristocratic country house of yesteryear. Many dishes are a tribute to Chef Enrico Bartolini's homeland, particularly those grilled to which a menu on the menu is entirely dedicated. Do you want to post your comment? Ristorante Larossa - Torino

Image
The Andrea Larossa restaurant, after years of success and awards in Alba, has moved its headquarters to Turin in a very attractive location at the foot of the hill. We visited it a few days before the inauguration to give you a preview of one of the novelties that will be most talked about. The interior of the restaurant impresses for the airiness and elegance of its spaces. The rooms of a former bowling alley have been renovated with great taste, giving life to a spectacular structure that is divided into a large dining room dazzling with light, which overlooks like a balcony, a second raised room with an open kitchen, where there are some privileged tables from which to follow the movements of the Chef and his Brigade. At the Larossa restaurant you will experience a modern cuisine that draws from tradition to create dishes with a strong personality, with clean, precise and balanced flavors. Andrea Larossa is a Chef with a highly recognizable hand, with some outstanding dishes, ...

Il Nazionale - Vernante (CN)

Image
The Restaurant Il Nazionale, with annexed Hotel and Relais, is located in Vernante, the village famous for the Pinocchio murals. You will find it overlooking the main road to Limone and Col di Tenda, although the entrance is on the side of the small street Cavour. Entering the dining room, you find yourself in a bright environment of refined elegance, a large veranda furnished in mountain style, with exposed beams and beautiful wooden floors, the central stone fireplace and many furnishing elements of strong personality, among which we note the chandeliers and sconces made with thin sheets of balsa wood. The cuisine of starred Chef Fabio Ingallinera is one that we like very much for its contemporary reinterpretation of tradition, with the use of modern techniques, such as fermentation, and excellent raw materials. Whether you are just a glutton for food or, even more so, whether you are moved by a philological search for authentic dishes of memory, Il Nazionale is worth a special...
