The name of the restaurant comes from the acronym of the names of patron Massimo's sons, Umberto and Germano, but also plays on the word Umano, to represent the spirit and essence of the concept.


Volcanic patron Massimo Dossena dreamed of creating exactly such a venue, with furnishings that were yes informal but also the result of a flaky architectural design and with a firm and refined local cuisine, with a grill to prepare fine cuts of the choicest meats.


Umano was designed and strongly desired with a format that we fully appreciate and share.
