Marco Polo - Ventimiglia (IM)

The Marco Polo restaurant, run for three generations by the Pani family, is located in a beautiful seafront position on the Ventimiglia promenade. The place is unmistakable: a building entirely made of wood, like a chalet, which stands out among the other signs of the beach establishments. The interiors are also completely made of wood: the overall atmosphere, warm and welcoming, may initially amaze with its originality in the context. The entrance precedes the two dining rooms. The main one has a rectangular plan, well-spaced tables and overlooks the private beach through large windows and a French door. In the kitchen there is Diego Pani, a young and concrete chef. Trattoria del Bivio - Cerretto Langhe (CN)

Located a few kilometers from Alba, on the road between Ceretto Langhe and Albaretto Torre, the Trattoria Del Bivio was born from the careful restoration of an old Langa farmhouse, restored in 1997.

Entering through the entrance, one is immersed in a well-kept environment full of character, which serves as the reception for the restaurant and the hotel.

The rooms are divided into three tastefully decorated dining rooms, with a glassed-in veranda, very pleasant in warm weather, which continues into the garden patio.

The Trattoria del Bivio, a true "Relais de Campagne", is a charming house, characterized by a familiar, yet intimate welcome, impeccable service and a lot of exquisite courtesy that make the pampered customer feel at home.

The cuisine, impeccable when inspired by tradition, entertaining and dense in more contemporary preparations, offers a range of perfectly executed dishes, imbued with enthusiasm and passion, some of which are unforgettable, such as the foie gras terrine and the tajarin, which we tasted on several occasions.

There is divine drinking, with food and wine pairings always well centered by a rich and deep menu.

The restaurant is certainly worth a special stop, perhaps with an extended stay in one of the 6 comfortable rooms.
