The restaurant Il Centro is located in the heart of Priocca, a small village in the Langhe, on the border of Roero.
It has been run for over fifty years by the Cordero family, who took over the existing Osteria in 1956 with Pietro and Rita Cordero, who were succeeded by the new generation: Enrico and his wife Elide, an excellent cook, and their son Giampiero.
The dining rooms are reached by a long corridor that leads to a new, intimate room for social gatherings, the staircase leading to the prestigious cantina, and the very modern kitchens, which have recently been enlarged.
The main dining rooms are divided into adjoining rooms where the large, well spaced round tables are set in comfortable 1960's furnishings in warm tones, with characteristic period floors, wooden furniture and lighting entrusted to large suspended chandeliers complemented by sconces and abat-jours.
Il Centro di Priocca is one of the historical restaurants of the Langa, where you can taste authentic local and traditional cuisine, reinterpreted in a contemporary key with passion, flair and creativity, and prepared with loving care.
You will be welcomed and pampered by a beautiful and close-knit family, and you will feel a soul in everything you are served.
Elide Mollo is an exquisite cook, a master of her craft like few others, but also a modest, friendly and helpful person.
In her hands, tradition is elevated to the heights of excellence, and when it needs to be reinterpreted, it is always done with great respect, never betraying it.
The alchemy of the Center is that you will taste things that are sometimes even "normal"...but that you have never tasted so good!
You will drink excellent wines, ranging from prestigious labels to exciting little "goodies", the result of meticulous and continuous research.
