Marco Polo - Ventimiglia (IM)

The Marco Polo restaurant, run for three generations by the Pani family, is located in a beautiful seafront position on the Ventimiglia promenade. The place is unmistakable: a building entirely made of wood, like a chalet, which stands out among the other signs of the beach establishments. The interiors are also completely made of wood: the overall atmosphere, warm and welcoming, may initially amaze with its originality in the context. The entrance precedes the two dining rooms. The main one has a rectangular plan, well-spaced tables and overlooks the private beach through large windows and a French door. In the kitchen there is Diego Pani, a young and concrete chef. Among his experiences, the kitchens of Vittorio Beltramelli, Joël Robuchon, Guy Savoy and three years at Louis XV in Monte Carlo together with Alain Ducasse. Donatella Bistrot - Oviglio (AL)

Donatella Bistrot is located in Oviglio, an ancient town in the Alessandria region, between Monferrato and Langhe, with a charming castle. The interior of the restaurant, which is divided into a large rectangular room, is warm, welcoming and atmospheric, furnished with taste and originality.
In the warm season there is a pleasant terrace.
Donatella Bistrot is also Dispensa, to share with guests Donatella's food and wine discoveries around Italy.
Donatella Bistrot was a starred restaurant for 8 years until 2015, when it voluntarily gave up the recognition, out of a legitimate desire to cook for its clientele, especially the local ones, and not for awards.
Nevertheless, it is immediately noticeable that the cuisine, the ambience and the service have remained essentially the same as the one that had earned the star, certainly with some reduction in the richness of the table linen, but with much unchanged warmth and passion, which immediately come to the fore as the true and distinguishable soul of the restaurant.
All the dishes that come out of the kitchen are of exceptional quality, characterized by ingredients of uncompromising quality and delicious, centered pairings, in full respect of tradition and with a few very well dosed contemporary touches.
In Mauro's dishes you will find no flights of fancy, no oriental contamination and no concession to passing fashions, but a lot of taste, a lot of balance and a lot of substance.
It is simply amazing how much harmony and refinement Donatella, with her very elegant arrangements, manages to give to such generous portions that satisfy even the most demanding appetites without fear of contradiction!
The Cave is another must in the restaurant: beautiful, spacious and full of delicacies.
