Il Sole di Ranco, beautifully overlooking the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore, has a rich history of cuisine and hospitality that dates back to 1850.
Founded as an inn with a few rooms and a cool pergola where local specialties could be consumed, it has always belonged to the Brovelli family, whose new generations, after the 1950s, gradually transformed it from a restaurant for families and day-trippers to a temple of gastronomy and a very refined hotel.
The spaces are modern and linear, with the use of resins for the floors and light colors on the walls.
The pergola in the garden is one of the "musts" of the Restaurant: set for lunch and dinner during the warm seasons, it overlooks the lake and the gardens of the Property with a breathtaking view.
Chef Davide Brovelli works in the kitchen with a young and motivated team. His son Riccardo is already a valid help, with the aim of joining permanently as Chef once he finishes his university studies.
His daughter Costanza also collaborates by following the Social Media while learning the art of hospitality from Cristina.
Davide Brovelli has once again given us a memorable tasting, this time completely centered on the products of the Lake.
A superfine technique accompanied by very precise ideas on the role of tradition in modern cuisine, to give life to an appreciable personal reinterpretation of recipes worthy of recovery, without distortions for their own sake, and an innate modesty that comes from a reserved character, make him one of our favorite chefs as well as a very pleasant person.
