Il Gallo della Checca - Ranzo (IM)

Il Gallo della Checca, a truffle restaurant with its own Tartufaia as well as an osteria and wine shop since 1986, is located in Ranzo, a small inland Ligurian village on the border with Piedmont. One does not arrive here by accident, but because of the gastronomic value of the address, which is certainly worth a special detour. As you cross the threshold of the entrance, you will find yourself immersed in a quaint rustic-elegant style setting, full of curious elements, from the piano to the tiled stove, from the collection of ceramic roosters to vintage and modern racing bicycles, a great passion of Chef and Patron Ugo Vairo. La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini - Castiglione della Pescaia (GR)

La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini is an integral part of the magnificent L'Andana Resort complex in the Tuscan Maremma, just a few minutes' drive from Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala. You'll reach it by driving along a long "picture-postcard" avenue with cypress and maritime pines nestled among vineyards.
The elegant interior rooms are tastefully furnished with some rustic touches.
Some bottles from the vast Cellar are housed in the Hall in the temperature-controlled display case.
Resident Chef is Bruno De Moura Cossio, of Brazilian origins.
La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini represents an essential gastronomic stop for every gourmet, thanks to its cultured and refined cuisine, but also in a certain sense familiar and free-range, in a setting of refined elegance, like an aristocratic country house of yesteryear.
Many dishes are a homage to Chef Enrico Bartolini's homeland, particularly those grilled to which a menu on the menu is entirely dedicated.
There is no shortage of references to South America inserted by the very talented Resident Chef Bruno De Moura Cossio.
We drank wonderfully thanks to a very well conceived pairing.
