The Marcelin restaurant overlooks the main square of Montà, in the heart of the Roero wine-growing area, part of the Roero Expo complex, which also includes the Casa Americani hotel and the Art-è Cremeria.
The restaurant is located on the second floor, reached by stairs and elevator.
Beyond the entrance area, a large lounge equipped with sofas serves as an antechamber to the large flower-filled summer terrace.
The warm and welcoming main hall boasts ample space with well-spaced tables.
Outfitted with fine materials, it stands out for its highly polished dark parquet floors and sloping wooden ceiling, which, along with the arched windows, formed the structure of the old woodworking store from which the Marcelin restaurant borrows its name.
From the old carpentry shop, two large solid wood workbenches have been recovered and restored and are now used as serving tables.
Under the intelligent and motivated leadership of owner Angelo Valsania and the happy hand in the kitchen of chef Thomas Balocco, Marcelin Restaurant has regained its commendable stability that has always made it a must-visit destination for every foodie.
Thomas Balocco's dishes impressed us with the sharpness of the flavors, thoughtful creativity, perfect balance of ingredients, and proper consideration of the terroir; the location of refined elegance makes the experience even more unique and enjoyable.
