Marco Polo - Ventimiglia (IM)

The Marco Polo restaurant, run for three generations by the Pani family, is located in a beautiful seafront position on the Ventimiglia promenade. The place is unmistakable: a building entirely made of wood, like a chalet, which stands out among the other signs of the beach establishments. The interiors are also completely made of wood: the overall atmosphere, warm and welcoming, may initially amaze with its originality in the context. The entrance precedes the two dining rooms. The main one has a rectangular plan, well-spaced tables and overlooks the private beach through large windows and a French door. In the kitchen there is Diego Pani, a young and concrete chef. Among his experiences, the kitchens of Vittorio Beltramelli, Joël Robuchon, Guy Savoy and three years at Louis XV in Monte Carlo together with Alain Ducasse. La Subida, Trattoria Al Cacciatore - Cormòns (GO)

The Sirk Family's La Subida is an authentic Relais de Campagne located in the foothills of the Collio Goriziano, amidst world-famous vineyards. Thanks to Le Case del Bosco, whose full Reportage you will find in lemilleUnanotte, the cuisine is complemented by an impressive hospitality offering for a truly complete and unforgettable sensory experience.
The "old entrance" of Trattoria Al Cacciatore is rustic and cozy, with magnificent old terracotta floors. One is immediately plunged into an almost magical atmosphere, surrounded by the warmth of the Sirk family's exquisite hospitality. Right at the entrance, a large "fogolar" always lit welcomes guests with the warm magic of burning wood.
The furnishings are a real triumph of woods, sideboards, linen curtains with laces, comfortable and important chairs around large, mostly round tables, small collections of various objects, stuffed game... for a very impressive result. "It is our home, where our things are, where our life is drawn" - tell Joško and Loredana Sirk... And guests who breathe in this atmosphere steeped in the countryside, nature and love for their land here end up feeling at home. The restaurant is divided into a theory of small rooms that follow one another.
In our consideration, La Subida is not just a gourmet restaurant, but a true institution, a temple of territorial gastronomy, permeated by the personality and philosophy of patron Joško Sirk and his entire family, who work there with alacrity and passion.
Alessandro Gavagna's cuisine is a small masterpiece of perfection in proposing authentic tradition adapted to contemporary taste without distortion but with such elegance that it drags the restaurant to the heights of gastronomic excellence. Mitja Sirk is an exceptional Sommelier, capable of enchanting the customer with his infinite culture "in the field" that has allowed him to personally know all the emerging Producers of the Region: trust him and you will drink stratospherically!
