LangOtto is the name of Chef Otto Lucà's gourmet restaurant in Novello, in the heart of the Langhe region. The restaurant has been customized with a few well-calibrated touches. We like the sign, with the stylized plate for the "O" and the double meaning of the word "Novello" that can be interpreted as a locality or adjective.
The rectangular-development dining room, well furnished with modern artwork throughout, overlooks the Novello vineyards with windows and small balconies.
Langhe and Piedmontese dishes cooked with French techniques: this is the synthesis of what you will experience at LangOtto, an excellent Langa restaurant led by a young, ambitious, talented and motivated chef. Starting with a foie gras of impeccable execution (for which we refer you to the previous report), there are many dishes to remember, which, moreover, are renewed at a fast pace.
Otto Lucà, along with a state-of-the-art technique, possesses the not inconsiderable gift of balance, which leads him to cook calibrated dishes built on great raw material with simple and precise ideas.
There are many recipes that evoke childhood, holiday lunches and those warm family atmospheres that we all love to remember. One detail we like to remark is the output in the dining room of dishes that are always piping hot, which denotes care and attention to every detail.
Elisa Andreotti's contribution in the dining room is instrumental in matching the dishes with a very well assorted wine cellar. At LangOtto, Convivium's Local of the Heart, we renewed Convivium's Award of Excellence for the quality of the cuisine and hospitality.
