Marco Polo - Ventimiglia (IM)

The Marco Polo restaurant, run for three generations by the Pani family, is located in a beautiful seafront position on the Ventimiglia promenade. The place is unmistakable: a building entirely made of wood, like a chalet, which stands out among the other signs of the beach establishments. The interiors are also completely made of wood: the overall atmosphere, warm and welcoming, may initially amaze with its originality in the context. The entrance precedes the two dining rooms. The main one has a rectangular plan, well-spaced tables and overlooks the private beach through large windows and a French door. In the kitchen there is Diego Pani, a young and concrete chef. Among his experiences, the kitchens of Vittorio Beltramelli, Joël Robuchon, Guy Savoy and three years at Louis XV in Monte Carlo together with Alain Ducasse. Marina Pani, sister of the Chef, and Sommelier Mattia Cavalli take care of the service in the room, which is precise, impeccable and extremely atte...

Campamac Osteria Gourmet - Barbaresco (CN)

Campamac, Osteria Gourmet, is the modern gastronomic osteria opened in Barbaresco by Maurilio Garola, chef of La Ciau del Tornavento, in partnership with Paolo Dalla Mora, a manager from Friuli with experience in large multinationals.
Its name is an expression in Piedmontese dialect, used as an encouragement, meaning "give it to us."
As soon as you enter, you'll realize how much the definition of Osteria fits a bit tightly to a place that stands out for a very classy interior design signed by Architect Fabio Ferrillo.
The entrance with inlaid black and white marble floors houses a small cocktail bar that is also a store selling the excellent local products (all strictly zero kilometer) that are served at the table.
To the side and front are the two spectacular open kitchens, one of which has a grill and spit.
The atmosphere of the dining room is elegant, with parquet floors, a central marble "carpet" and a jungle of plants.
Every single detail, from the lamps to every piece of furniture, was designed with rigor, letting the concrete walls rejoin the building-and by extension the village of Barbaresco-but filtering the view outward through a backdrop of almost tropical greenery.
Maurilio Garola never misses a beat, and L'Osteria Campamac, created in collaboration with entrepreneur friend Paolo Dalla Mora, is proof of that with its original dining formula.
The venue, which in name is an Osteria (gourmet...) for the easy formula, but in fact is a gourmet Restaurant with flair, boasts a remarkable interior design and great attention to all details.
The cuisine is rightly focused on traditional Langhe specialties, but it "takes off" with a grill and spit of the highest quality, making the proposal unique.
From the kitchen and dining room brigade, one senses fellowship and passion, ingredients that make, indeed, a difference!
