Osteria Santa Maria, run by a young couple, is based in Abbiategrasso in a late 19th-century building in the historic center. Stepping through the entrance, you will be greeted by a warm and characterful environment, with a bar area, reception desk, and a small open kitchen window.
The two romantic small rooms you will sit in have exposed beams and bricks. Very scenic is the lighting entrusted to suspended circular elements.
Osteria Santa Maria stands out and we like it because of the ambience, the line of cuisine and the young management, which knows how to transmit passion and enthusiasm. Mirco Polli is a chef with a beautiful hand who knows how to treat the historical recipes of the restaurant at their best with some wise contemporary touches.
His cuisine is enriched with each of our visits by some new preparation, sometimes inspired by recipes from other regions, and always linked to the seasonality of the products, selected and prepared with so much care and refined technique. There is good drinking, thanks to Alisia's expertise and intuition for pairings.
