Li Jalantuùmene - Monte Sant'Angelo (FG)

Li Jalantuùmene restaurant overlooks the characteristic Piazza de' Galganis, a sixteenth-century gem in the heart of the historic center of Monte Sant'Angelo, in the heart of the Gargano Park. The external walls with portions of light stone and the clean lines of the building integrate perfectly with the surrounding whiteness of the Junno district. The name of the restaurant, which in dialect means "The Gentlemen", is a true declaration of intent: to recall the elegance, honesty and elegance of times gone by, applying them to hospitality and service. Once you cross the threshold, the restaurant reveals its nature as a "home" characterized by a romantic and intimate atmosphere. Gegè Mangano is undoubtedly one of the most representative and charismatic chefs of Puglia, considered a true gastronomic ambassador of the Gargano. Its cuisine, strongly rooted in the Gargano micro-region, is open to contamination and modern techniques, to be unde...

Piccolo Lago - Verbania

The Piccolo Lago, Marco Sacco's gourmet restaurant, enjoys an exceptional location "pieds dans l'eau" on the tiny Lake Mergozzo, adjacent to Lake Maggiore. The outdoor spaces by the lake are ideal for ceremonies, banquets, and conferences.
Set among well-tended lawns, there are two pavilions, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, and a large swimming pool surrounded by teak decking. The indoor dining rooms are divided into a series of different rooms, each one more elegant than the last.
Beyond the reception area is a large room with terracotta floors embellished with oriental rugs, which is a continuation of the kitchen area. The lakefront perimeter of the restaurant opens onto spectacular verandas.
On the glass wall separating the main dining room from the kitchens, the words of Anthelme Brillat Savarin, an 18th-century French politician, intellectual, and gastronome, author of "The Physiology of Taste," have been screen-printed: "The Creator, forcing man to eat in order to live, invites him with appetite and rewards him with pleasure."
A magnificent, pleasant, and welcoming lakeside hotel in a quiet and charming corner of Piedmont provides the perfect setting for exceptional signature cuisine that draws on local traditions to bridge the gap between the past and the future.
Here, Chef Marco Sacco, after many honors and awards, certainly has nothing to prove and can afford to follow his instincts or simply enjoy himself.
The gastronomic offering is top class. During our visit, pampered by the chef himself and exceptional service, we tasted a rich sequence of dishes from two of Piccolo Lago's most representative menus: extremely stimulating, cultured, always perfect dishes that delight and convince.
