Il Gallo della Checca, a truffle restaurant with its own Tartufaia as well as an osteria and wine shop since 1986, is located in Ranzo, a small inland Ligurian village on the border with Piedmont. Restaurant Civico15, Enoteca Gastronomica is based in a panoramic location on the hillside of Canelli overlooking a beautiful newly redeveloped piazzetta.


The restaurant was originally a stable of the Gancia Castle, then a warehouse: the hand of Max, an esteemed architect, has transformed it into an extremely cozy bomboniera, full of personality.

It is run by Max, Manuela, Giusy, Ilaria and Claudia, who avail themselves of the collaboration of Mirko in the kitchen: a family atmosphere that is reflected in a welcome that is absolutely friendly and full of attention.


At Civico15 we had a tantalizing gastronomic experience, in a particularly pleasant setting, to which the definition of a new-generation chic bistro fits well.

Thanks to Mama Giusy's Sicilian origins, the kitchen offers an original and stimulating mix of dishes, which, together with the use of excellent raw materials and a perfect mastery of cooking techniques, fully satisfies the highest expectations.
