Casa Buono - Trucco (IM)

Casa Buono is the gastronomic jewel box of Antonio Buono, Sous-Chef of Mauro Colagreco at the Mirazur in Menton for 6 years, and his wife Valentina.
The restaurant is located a 10-minute drive from Ventimiglia, on the Colle di Tenda state road, in a strategic position close to the motorway junctions of Western Liguria and the French Riviera.
The restaurant has a few seats immersed in an informal-chic atmosphere.
Once you cross the entrance threshold, you will find yourself in a first room with a single "table d'hôte", which ends at the back with a designer counter and the open kitchen.
On a side wall, the original raised cellars. Furnishings, accessories and decorative elements are the elements that accompany visitors on a true sensorial journey of the author.
Dining at Casa Buono means visiting a Chef who in 5 years, directing the synchronized work of twenty chefs under his command, was able to bring the Mirazur restaurant in Menton to the roof of the world, achieving its third Michelin star and first place in the "The World's 50 Best Restaurants" ranking.
Having clarified this detail, which far from belittling his friend Mauro Colagreco, gives the right credit to Antonio Buono, everything else goes without saying: you will dine in a small informal-chic wedding favor with a few seats, pampered by a very young and close-knit kitchen and dining room team, with perfect times and dishes that you will remember for a long time.
The tasting itinerary is deliberately designed, changes weekly following the offer of the Ventimiglia market and offers only the best of seasonal products with a careful selection of local raw materials, possibly zero km. Every day different dishes organized in a single menu proposal, a welcome, five courses (which with the "land" proposal and the cheeses can become seven) and many final cuddles, with an excellent quality-price ratio and a spectacular wine pairing if you rely on the advice of Valentina and Nicolas.
Casa Buono is a reality from another planet that has landed in a hidden corner of the Ventimiglia hinterland.
Shortly after the opening, Antonio and Valentina expanded it, making it a true "Maison de Charme" that is worth rushing to try for an applause-worthy gourmet experience.
