In the wooded hills of Roccaverano, at the end of a road that is easy to follow but not so easy to find, you will find Borghetto La Radice. The farmhouse, resulting from the restoration of old rural buildings with exposed stone and wood, is neat and welcoming. The large dining room, with a whole wall opening onto the garden, is made of wood and stone and is very pleasant. Situated in a secluded spot among the hills of Acquese, along the road that connects Acqui Terme to Sassello, the restaurant, which has been run by the Milano family for five generations and is a member of the "Premiate Trattorie Italiane", looks like a beautiful country house of sober elegance. Since our last visit, the interior has been renovated, with new parquet floors and a large archway that gives movement to the ceilings. The light-colored walls are adorned with fine art paintings, and the lighting relies on suspended halogens.
