La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini - Castiglione della Pescaia (GR)

Image
La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini is an integral part of the magnificent L'Andana Resort complex in the Tuscan Maremma, just a few minutes' drive from Castiglione della Pescaia and Punta Ala. You'll reach it by driving along a long "picture-postcard" avenue with cypress and maritime pines nestled among vineyards. The elegant interior rooms are tastefully furnished with some rustic touches. Some bottles from the vast Cellar are housed in the Hall in the temperature-controlled display case. Resident Chef is Bruno De Moura Cossio, of Brazilian origins. La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini represents an essential gastronomic stop for every gourmet, thanks to its cultured and refined cuisine, but also in a certain sense familiar and free-range, in a setting of refined elegance, like an aristocratic country house of yesteryear. Many dishes are a homage to Chef Enrico Bartolini's homeland, particularly those grilled to which a menu on the menu is entirely dedic...

La Perla del Mare - San Vincenzo (LI)

Image
La Perla del Mare, a JRE member, is housed in a charming modern wood and steel building scenically overlooking the beach of San Vincenzo. On the horizon are the outlines of the island of Capraia, Corsica and the island of Elba. The restaurant overlooks its own beach establishment with very large windows. Once inside, you will find yourself in a very bright veranda, furnished with taste and originality. The floors are in dark parquet, the sloping ceilings in white painted wood. The tables all enjoy a beautiful sea view. A second, more intimate room is characterized by the open kitchen. At the restaurant La Perla del Mare we met and tasted the cuisine of a talented Chef with a delicate hand, endowed with an enviable wealth of technique and ideas. Deborah Corsi knows how to treat fish with taste, imagination and elegance, giving life to superfine elaborations supported by a high school technique. Creative and passionate about painting, her dishes are palettes of color, ...

Club House - Porto Ercole (GR)

Image
Club House is the informal Restaurant of the prestigious Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort, Autograph Collection of which lemilleUnanotte publishes a rich report. Located right next to the Golf Club and the golf course, it is the classic Italian Cuisine Restaurant in which to enjoy impeccably crafted traditional specialties. The interiors hark back to the tradition of historic Anglo-Saxon golf clubs, enriched with contemporary details and references to the décor of the resort's fine dining restaurant, Checkers-Dames. A relaxing restaurant with a remarkable selection of Italian and traditional Tuscan cuisine, the Club House is definitely worth a visit. From a menu masterfully prepared by Executive Chef Emiliano Lombardelli and confidently executed by sous-chef Salem Maalel, you will taste the excellence of all that the Territory has to offer. Most of the ingredients are Km 0 or come directly from the Resort's garden. We drank very well, thanks to a Cellar...

Dama-Dama - Porto Ercole (GR)

Image
Dama-Dama Restaurant is located in Porto Ercole inside the prestigious Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort, Autograph Collection. It is accessed from the scenic lobby of the Resort, going down one floor of the immense central staircase as an alternative to the elevators. The restaurant's interior is divided into two large rooms, the first of which faces the terrace, which is overlooked by full-wall windows. "Dama-Dama" is the scientific name for the fallow deer, a beautiful species that can be found in the forests that cover Argentario. The restaurant is an ironic and contemporary vision of an elegant mountain retreat. The faux hunting trophy designs and natural fabrics make it an unexpected place within the resort. At Dama-Dama Restaurant we tasted excellent cuisine based on the ingredients, flavors and colors of the territory with a pinch of innovation. Chef Emiliano Lombardelli, originally from the area, works with impeccable technique a beautiful w...

Il Sole di Ranco - Ranco (VA)

Image
Il Sole di Ranco, beautifully overlooking the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore, has a rich history of cuisine and hospitality that dates back to 1850. Founded as an inn with a few rooms and a cool pergola where local specialties could be consumed, it has always belonged to the Brovelli family, whose new generations, after the 1950s, gradually transformed it from a restaurant for families and day-trippers to a temple of gastronomy and a very refined hotel. The spaces are modern and linear, with the use of resins for the floors and light colors on the walls. The pergola in the garden is one of the "musts" of the Restaurant: set for lunch and dinner during the warm seasons, it overlooks the lake and the gardens of the Property with a breathtaking view. Chef Davide Brovelli works in the kitchen with a young and motivated team. His son Riccardo is already a valid help, with the aim of joining permanently as Chef once he finishes his university studies. His daughter ...

Bruma Restaurant - Pavia

Image
Bruma Restaurant is located in the "foggy heart" of Pavia (from which it takes its name), right in the center, overlooking a pedestrian street a few meters from the Cathedral of Santo Stefano and Santa Maria Assunta. The interiors are warm and welcoming, characterized by parquet floors, wooden ceilings and walls with exposed frescoes and portions of bare bricks. In front of the kitchen there is a table d'hôte for two privileged diners. Bruma Restaurant represents a true gastronomic experience in a welcoming environment. Alessandro Cerutti, whom we have been following for years on his journey as chef, has a beautiful hand and many clear and highly shareable ideas: his philosophy of no-waste, no-waste, leads him to use every part and the less noble cuts with surprising results. The idea of taking away rather than adding is also a winning one. Added to all this is a great mastery of aging techniques, both of meats and fish, an ever-living desire to experimen...
