Il Gallo della Checca, a truffle restaurant with its own Tartufaia as well as an osteria and wine shop since 1986, is located in Ranzo, a small inland Ligurian village on the border with Piedmont. One does not arrive here by accident, but because of the gastronomic value of the address, which is certainly worth a special detour. As you cross the threshold of the entrance, you will find yourself immersed in a quaint rustic-elegant style setting, full of curious elements, from the piano to the tiled stove, from the collection of ceramic roosters to vintage and modern racing bicycles, a great passion of Chef and Patron Ugo Vairo. Osteria Nuova - Torino











The Osteria Nuova restaurant is centrally located in Turin, just a stone's throw from Porta Nuova train station. In front of the entrance is a counter with a reception nook, the kitchen, and the staircase down to the main dining room, which can be seen from the glass plate floors.


The interior is divided into two rooms. The Infernot in the basement, which is reached by a handmade wrought-iron staircase, is very typical and striking. The walls are left with exposed brick, only some of the plastered portions are painted purple-red.


Osteria Nuova is a true Turin "gem" that deserves high regard. We found there, worthy of the highest praise, an almost maniacal search for perfection, from the choice of ingredients and raw materials to the kitchen realization of individual dishes.

All the dishes chosen to make up the menu are the result of a thorough investigation of local recipes and careful and intelligent elaboration.

Chef Stefano Biavaschi is a self-taught chef who is never quite satisfied with his excellent results, with the result that the care put into each dish is of a superior level.

There is very good drinking, thanks to a very well-rounded Cantina with great intelligence.
