Chez Sophie - Biella

Chez Sophie is the gourmet restaurant recently opened in the heart of Biella by Sophie Tabet and Marco Marangi, who, hand in hand for 17 years, share the same passion for catering. The interior, consisting of a single rectangular room, is warm and welcoming. There is also a pleasant outdoor area in the internal courtyard, used mainly for aperitifs.
Chef Sophie Tabet, of Lebanese origins with a long history in Canada and France and a prestigious work resume (she was a student of Paul Bocuse), works in the open kitchen.
Chez Sophie is a delightful little gourmet restaurant, a signature cuisine with French and cosmopolitan roots, offering a personal and refined express cuisine.
Here, Sophie Tabet's rigorous French technique (trained in the Paul Bocuse school, with roots in Lyon) meets global influences, including Lebanese, Canadian, and Piedmontese.
The open-plan counter showcases Chef Sophie juggling the plating right before the eyes of the diners.
A special highlight of the restaurant are its themed Lebanese cuisine evenings, which bring a breath of fresh air to an area not accustomed to change.
We drank very well, thanks to Marco Marangi's sincerely passionate wine selection.
