Locanda in Cannubi - Barolo (CN)

Image
The Locanda in Cannubi is located on the road from Alba to Barolo, the heart of the Langhe, right in the center of the vineyard that gives it its name, among the most prestigious in Italy and the world. Owned by the Tenuta Carretta farm and run by the Bertolini-Boggione family, a true institution of traditional Langhe cuisine, it is the result of the careful renovation of an 18th century farmhouse returned to its former glory to offer a refined gastronomic offering and classy hospitality. The fantastic panoramic room is one of the venue's assets: sitting in front of the huge windows you will feel part of the landscape. The philosophy of Chef Fabio Pungitore is aimed at gradually introducing a nice range of contemporary dishes alongside the traditional ones that have always been on the menu, with great attention to seasonality, a constant search for raw materials of absolute quality and a skilful reinterpretation of the oldest recipes, which are not distorted but rat...

Totanetti… Chef: Diego Pani Marco Polo @marcopolo1960

Image
Totanetti del Mediterraneo, fagioli bianchi e rosmarino. Un piatto goloso e profumatissimo! Vino: Colli Tortonesi doc Derthona Timorasso 2023, imbottigliato all’origine da Oltretorrente, Paderna (AL). Marco Polo - Ventimiglia (IM)

Image
The Marco Polo restaurant, run for three generations by the Pani family, is located in a beautiful seafront position on the Ventimiglia promenade. The place is unmistakable: a building entirely made of wood, like a chalet, which stands out among the other signs of the beach establishments. The interiors are also completely made of wood: the overall atmosphere, warm and welcoming, may initially amaze with its originality in the context. The entrance precedes the two dining rooms. The main one has a rectangular plan, well-spaced tables and overlooks the private beach through large windows and a French door. In the kitchen there is Diego Pani, a young and concrete chef. Among his experiences, the kitchens of Vittorio Beltramelli, Joël Robuchon, Guy Savoy and three years at Louis XV in Monte Carlo together with Alain Ducasse. Marina Pani, sister of the Chef, and Sommelier Mattia Cavalli take care of the service in the room, which is precise, impeccable and extremely atte...
